Mr. Petur Th. Petursson.
 
Mr. Pétur Th. Pétursson has since March 1984 dedicated his resources to the development and promotion of the idea, on behalf of the Markus family.

Since the inventor died, it has been his work with great help from his family and supporters, to hold around the idea, develop the Markus Lifenet man overboard products and manufacture it and pomote it to the international maritime society.

Mr. Petursson has been the technical advicer in the Icelandic delication at the DE52, DE53 subcommittee meetings where the Markusnet manually and crane operated man overboard recovery technique has been introduced into the SOLAS regulations / guidelines.
